    Grading on new walking path incorrect. Constantly floods in several spots. I'm the Vice President of the La Salle Gardens Community Association. I also develop properties. I informed the contractors redeveloping the park on several occasions about the areas where the soil becomes saturated and to make sure all grading is correct to account for this. However several spots have a significant drop in the grading and consequentially floods whenever it rains.

    The park/playground behind Thirkell Elementary is almost never mowed, there are no trash cans, and the playground structures have jagged, rusty parts on them. There are so many kids in this neighborhood that are being sent the message that their safety and needs are not a priority for our city. This is unacceptable. We need to divert some of the landscaping crews from La Salle Park to fix up this area so little kids can have a playground that is clean and safe. New woodchips need to be put down, trash cans installed and maintained, and regular landscaping visits paid here. This is more essential than ever in the midst of a pandemic that kids and families have a good park to visit and play in.

    landlord has dumped building materials up against the apartment rear entrance off of parking lot. It is rotting and damming water into the foundation also attracting rodents. Been there for over two weeks.

    The Detroit Landbank Contractor that demolished the house at 2268 destroyed the curb and damaged the street. This issue has been unresolved since June 2015 despite more than a dozen phone calls to the Landbank and the City of Detroit. The Landbank says its not their issue and the sidewalk and pothole departments say they don't repair curbs.
