For the last week or so the gates at Riverside Park have been locked shut. According to a city employee that we spoke to, the gates were locked by DPD because someone broke into an electrical box in the parking lot. I would like to take this opportunity to inform whomever it is that read these posts that: 1.) We can just walk around gates, locking them serves no purpose other than to irritate those that use the park, and 2.) Maybe if you fixed the timer for the park lights the skaters wouldn't break into the electrical box to turn them on manually (and if you didn't want citizens using the park after dark, why would you have installed soooo many lights?).

If I am wrong about the reason that the gates are closed, please correct me in the comments. Thanks!

The Wigle Park has a frequent smell of leaking natural gas. I have visited this park every week for the past 3 months and always notice it when my son plays in the sand box. There's no option in the park issues menu to appropriately report this issue.
