What's the issue with repaving this small section of road? It is wildly dangerous with cars zig zagging all over it to avoid the huge deep potholes.

I'll try to get some photos to add to this post - it is an extremely dangerous stretch of road.

Good idea - I'll bring a tape measure. Some of the holes are easily 2 feet in diameter, and they seem to get bigger every time I use the road, which is daily.

Staff submitted a service request based on the previous citizen entry and it was determined that NW 93rd Avenue is not a county maintained roadway. This road is maintained, which includes repairs, by the City of Alachua. Our office will notify the City of Alachua's Public Works Department about the concerns expressed. Phone number is not City of Alachua Public Works, but they can transfer - I called and left a detailed message since there was no one available. Not sure it makes sense that they are in charge of a road that is listed as a Gainesville address, but as long as it gets fixed.....

Weird, I reported this issue and the official response was that it was a FDOT road, not City of Alachua. Can we get some clarity?

In the submission you reported the address of 9200 NW 13th St. NW 13th Street/US HWY 441 is indeed an FDOT maintained roadway, which is why we provided FDOT's contact information. If you would have specified that your concern was NW 93rd Avenue in addition to the comment "pothole city", we would have been able to direct you to the City of Alachua as well.

To be clear, this is the exact stretch of road that is in disrepair (between NW 43rd St. and NW 13th St).

NW 43rd Street is a county owned and maintained roadway which intersects at NW 93rd Avenue. Unfortunately, NW 93rd Avenue does not fall into the County's maintenance jurisdiction. There are several roadways that, despite running through a certain municipality, are owned and maintained by another entity. For example, N Main Street is within Gainesville's city limits but is maintained by Alachua County, the City of Gainesville, and FDOT.
Please know that if this was a county maintained roadway, our staff would respond.

Unfortunately, it can not stay open under the Alachua County Public Works handle because this not an Alachua County Public Works issue to resolve. There is a feature called "Post to Neighbors" on this website that is only effective when another entity has SeeClickFix. An issue can be posted there for the other municipality to claim ownership. The City of Alachua is not using SeeClickFix as a means of responding to customer service issues which is why the number to their office was provided in an earlier comment.

Just to let everyone know, I spoke with Ciera at City of Alachua Public Works and they will be resurfacing 93rd Ave (not just patching) hopefully starting next week! Thank you everyone who called - they got the message!
